2025 Zero Waste Urban and Rural Space Art Exhibition

"Zero Waste Cities" is a key global sustainable development initiative. Its core concept isn't about eliminating waste entirely, but rather about reducing waste to near zero through systematic design, recycling, and resource optimization.
Since launching its "Zero Waste Cities" pilot program in 2019, China has promoted this concept in numerous cities, with urban and rural spaces being key areas for waste-free art practice.
"Zero Waste Cities" isn't just an environmental issue; it also involves systemic transformation of the economy, society, and culture.
This touring exhibition is a key component of the "Third National Landscape Architecture Zero Waste City Design Innovation Workshop." With the theme of "Art Reconstructing Zero Waste Urban and Rural Spaces," it aims to reinterpret the relationship between urban and rural spaces and the ecological environment through the creative expression of artists, thereby promoting public awareness and engagement with the concept of zero waste.
The exhibition is divided into five chapters: "Landscape, Art, Materials, Technology, and Derivatives," corresponding to the five themes of landscape, art, materials, technology, and student works within the zero waste concept.
The online exhibition will be continuously updated, and submissions are welcome.
Offline exhibitions will be held nationwide, touring cities including Shanghai, Chengdu, Tianjin, and Zhoushan.
